This is a town hall as in a government building?? Wow! I love the statue of the fellow on the right side in the first picture. Great pictures!

Wow! De bien jolis clichés! C'est vraiment superbe! Aussi bien l'architecture que les couleurs!

I passed through Bale/Basel/Basilea (never know what to call it) so many times, but I never visited it. I only visited the Migros stores, to buy chocolate. Thanks for this, will have to go back.
Oh wait, flying there on the 22nd...

Very cool. My trip last week ended in Basel, but we arrived late on Saturday and departed early on Sunday. So, I didn't see this.

Like many, I never found a reason to make a stop at Basel, just travelled through... Obviously a mistake! The doors - and the whole building - are magnificient!

Not only a gorgeous doorway, but an exquisite fresco, too!

Looks like the entrance to a circus. Or a Mason's temple. The colors are fabulous. I've never seen a town hall quite like it.
